Current Fashion Favorite: Rompers

Romper is from H&M
One of my favorite things to wear during the summer is a romper. They're just so easy to throw on and you can either dress them up or down.

This one is from H&M, and I love the floral pattern of it. I wear this with a black bralette that I got from Urban Outfitters because the romper itself has an open back and I don't own a pair of sticky boobs and would rather wear a bralette than nothing!

This is an easy one to dress up with either a chambray shirt on top because of the hints of blue in the pattern, or with a black cardigan.

You can find rompers similar to these at H&M, Forever 21, Target, American Apparel, etc! They're very popular right now because they're a necessity in the summertime, at least for me!

Do you like wearing rompers? If so, where do you purchase them?

Nars Ita Brush Review

As soon as I heard that Nars had restocked their infamous Ita brush, I knew I had to get it. I've heard that this brush was perfect for contouring. Before I used this brush I used the Real Techniques Contour brush and loved it, but knew that I had to try this one! I had to order this from Nordstrom because it was already sold out on the Nars site!

The brush itself is horizontal which means you can get a nice contour line easily, there is no worry about them being uneven or not in the right place. All you have to do is place it right where the hollow begins and drag down a little bit, making sure not to take it to close to the mouth.

The hairs on this brush are rather soft and apply the product evenly. I blend this out the contour with another brush just to make sure there aren't too harsh lines.

If you are looking for a easy foolproof way to apply contour, I highly recommend this brush! I'm not sure if it's still available, I want to hope it is!

My Top Summer Fragrances

I'm someone who, when I find a new fragrance, I tend to wear it all the time. I've actually found quite some new fragrances these past months.

The only perfume that I've had to a very long time is the Aqualina Pink Sugar perfume. This is actually my third bottle of this perfume! I love how sweet this perfume smells. I find it to smell like "cotton candy", but don't be worried it's not a fake sweet scent. I've gotten many compliments on this scent and highly recommend it to someone who likes sweeter scents.

I personally have never smelt the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume, but when he released the Honey scent I know I had to! The bottle of it is so cute and the scent is just as good! It's a little on the sweet side, but definitely not as sweet as the Pink Sugar! Marc Jacobs describes this as "_". This perfume makes me want to try some of the other Marc Jacobs perfumes for sure.

One of my other favorites that I discovered recently is the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. Chanel describes this scent as "_", I myself are very bad a describing fragrances but this one smells great! It has been my everyday fragrance almost everyday since I got it!

My most recent perfume purchase is the one from LancĂ´me, which is their La Vie est Belle perfume. This is another sweet scent, described as "entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of Patchouli and the sweetness of a gourmand blend; for an incredible scent with depth and complexity". I see this scent as being a more "mature" Pink Sugar, if that makes sense. I switch between this and the Chanel perfume all the time!

What are some of your favorite perfumes? I would love to know!

My Favorite Foundation Brush

When I purchased my Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation, I tried many ways to apply it. It wasn't until I went and got my makeup done at the Chanel counter and told the artist that I used this foundation that I was introduced to this brush.

I purchased this stippling foundation brush, which is Chanel's brush #7. This is a great brush to use to apply this foundation because it gives a great airbrushed look. This brush is great for applying product quickly but evenly!

The hairs on this brush are extremely soft, but I do want to mention that it does shed quite a lot. It tends to shed when I'm washing it but occasionally it'll shed while I'm applying my foundation.

This brush would also be great for applying cream products! I highly recommend this if you're looking for a nice stippling brush and aren't afraid of splurging a little!

My Travel Makeup Bag

Tomorrow officially kicks off my vacation! My family is going to Europe for a month, starting and London and then a three week cruise! I will be preuploading some posts just incase the wifi isn't the best but I also will be blogging occasionally along the way.

I thought I would show you what makeup I am bringing for my month long adventure. I got this case from Henri Bendel, it was actually an early birthday present because we will be on the cruise during my birthday so my parents gave me my gifts early! This is such a perfect item for traveling because I can use the first zip compartment for my makeup and the bottom for skincare and other toiletries.

Because there are so many items in here, I'm not going to really list every single item that is in there because this post would turn into a novel! The pocket is so big so of course I threw in as many products as I could! The very top zipper and side pouch I used to store the brushes that I am bringing. If you have any questions about how I store items and what I'm bringing feel free to ask in the comments! I plan on just stuffing this in my checked bag!!

I apologize for the picture being on the darker side, it's been raining these past two days and so there really was never any good lighting!

Z Palette Review

For Christmas I was gifted the Urban Decay Motherlode, which if you didn't know had 68 of Urban Decay's eyeshadows! This came at a very hefty price and I am very thankful for receiving this as a gift for Christmas.

This palette came with the eyeshadows all in their full packaging, which made it hard to transport all of the eyeshadows for when I went to school or vacation (I know realistically I don't need to bring all of them but hey, I'm a beauty junkie!). So, I decided to look into the Z Palette after hearing about them for years.

I purchased two of the Extra Large Black Palettes . I read that Urban Decay eyeshadows were already magnetized so I didn't need to purchase any more magnet stickers (the palettes came with 20 alone!).

Each palette holds 35 regular sized eyeshadows (Mac & Urban Decay are the same size!). All I had to do was take the time to depot them, which took around two hours or so. I feel that the end result is worth all the time spent depoting them!

I decided to put all the neutrals, that would fit, in one palette and then the others would be left over neutrals and colors.

I highly recommend the Z Palette for anyone who wants to congregate all of their potted eyeshadows to one palette, or two in my case. The eyeshadows stay on with no problem, and I like how the cover is clear so you can see what eyeshadows are in the palette.

If you have any other questions about the Z Palette just ask below in the comments!

Anastasia Contour Kit Review

I recently purchased the Anastasia Contour Kit  off of the Sephora website after getting the email that they were back in stock. I immediately stopped what I was doing and ordered it. I knew I wanted this product after seeing numerous videos about it. I'm new to contouring and highlighting but I thought that this would be a great product to start with!

The kit itself comes with three bronzers and three highlighters. The bronzers, from left to right, are Java, Fawn and Havana. While the highlights, from left to right, are Vanilla, Banana and Sand.

When it comes to the bronzers, they are all matte. I personally use Fawn (the middle shade) to contour with because I find that it's the perfect bronzer for us pale girls since it is more cooler toned. If I want to warm up my face a little more I will use the Java shade to dust over in the "3E" motion. I find that the Havana color is a little warmer, which I will have to use with a very light hand because I've found to come off a little muddy on my complexion.

As for the highlighters, they are all great! Vanilla is a nice pale matte highlighter which I have used as both a jawbone and all over highlight as well as under my eyes to set my concealer. I did see though that because I am pale already it doesn't give much of a highlight since it is so close to my actual skin tone (sad I know!). I really haven't used the Banana shade a lot because again, I'm very pale, which leaves my skin having a slighter pink undertone. I am a little nervous about using the Banana powder under my eyes because I don't want it to show up too yellow. But let me know if anyone uses this or a shade similar to it! The Sand highlighter is my personal favorite. I like to use this on my cheekbones and then a tad on my nose. Because it has some shimmer in it, it gives a nice sheen to the skin without it looking too oily.

Have you tried out or looked at the Anastasia Contour Kit? If not, what products to you use to contour and highlight with?
